Do we need reservations for a wine tasting?

Reservations are not required for parties of 7 or less. Reservations are required for parties of 8 or more. Reservations may be made by calling: 540-937-4869.

Do we need reservations for a winery tour?

Yes. Regardless of the group size - Gray Ghost requires an appointment for wineries tours. We are happy to conduct a tour for individuals or groups as large as 55. For an appointment, please call: 540-937-4869.

On special event days with scheduled tour times, reservations are not required.

Can we bring picnics?

Yes. Gray Ghost welcomes picnics both inside the winery and on the grounds. Please be advised that per Virginia ABC regulations, outside alcohol is not permitted on the grounds of a Virginia Farm Winery.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are permitted on the grounds of Gray Ghost. Pets are not permitted indoors.

Are children allowed?

Yes. Supervised children are welcome to visit Gray Ghost. The main floor and grounds are open to our younger guests, the upstairs lounge is reserved for Adults Only.

How can I register to help with harvest?

Gray Ghost has the longest running, largest volunteer harvest program in the Commonwealth of Virginia. For an opportunity to participate in this popular, free event, you must register in person at the winery. Harvest registration is open February through August each year. Harvest takes place in September and October.
